#4-SCREAM (1996)As Brian C. Tyler says in his review of the film for Slasher Studios, “Everything from the opening title with the sound of a phone ringing to the quick scare at the very end is full of great storytelling, lovable characters (and actors), lots of tension, great dialog, clever film references and most importantly… lots of blood.”

Wes Craven’s SCREAM gets knocked a lot by “hardcore” horror fans for being too mainstream. Well, growing up, the horror movies I loved and cherished were not loved and cherish by many. In 1996 SCREAM came along and changed horror cinema. Suddenly horror was not only mainstream, it was cool. For the first time in my life after the release of this movie I felt like I ‘belonged.” I hope everyone has a movie like that for them.
